Community Garden/Nursery

 Community Garden flowers

The Wedderburn Community Garden ‘Poo2Plate’ was officially opened by Costa (Gardening Australia) in 2012 and offers people the opportunity to have their own garden bed, or work as part of the garden team providing food, plants and lovely garden settings for our community.

The nursery offers a wide range of natives and hardy cottage plants perfect for our climatic condition. Prices are kept reasonable so everyone in the community can afford to enjoy the many benefits of gardening.

Nestled in the gardens surrounding the Community Centre we offer various seating options to relax and enjoy the tranquil bush setting. In amongst the trees you will find the Pioneer Hut, designed by Barb Beauliv and completed as a Work For the Dole project back in 2002. A more recent project was the Wood Fired Pizza oven that is available to hire for family gatherings, work parties, or just for a different type of evening out.
